Hannah's Birth Story (The Short Version)

Teddi went into labor around 5:45pm Friday, May 20, 2005. The midwives were called a little while later and arrived around 7:30pm. Labor was faster and gentler this time around, as prayed for. After almost 7 hours of relatively easy labor and only 3 pushes (less than 2 minutes), Hannah was delivered at 12:22am Saturday, May 21, in the birthing tub in the Deppner living room.

Daniel went to sleep around 10pm and slept soundly all through the night, despite the late-night talking and the noise of water running to fill the birthing tub and to rinse it out later. He woke to find his baby sister had arrived, and he greeted her with big smiles and exclamations of "Cute! Baby sister!"
